Here is the single most important thing to know about Hajj from the USA today: you book it yourself, directly, on Nusuk. You do not need to buy a “package” from a US company, and doing so usually means paying thousands in markup for something the official platform lets you do at the real price. This is the step-by-step.
Step 1: Create your Nusuk Hajj account
Go to the official platform, hajj.nusuk.sa, and register in your own name. The USA is one of the “serviced countries” that book Hajj this way. Use your legal name exactly as it appears on your passport.
Step 2: Upload your documents
Upload a clear passport scan and a compliant photo. Your passport should be valid well beyond the travel dates. Nusuk then verifies your application, which can take a little time, so do this early.
Step 3: Fund your Nusuk e-wallet
Once verified, you top up Nusuk’s own e-wallet. This is the key safeguard: your money goes to the Saudi provider through Nusuk, not to any middleman. You pay the price Nusuk shows, with no reseller markup.
Step 4: Choose a provider and package
Browse the authorized Saudi service providers and their packages, compare hotels, durations and prices, and book the one that fits your budget. You see the real cost before you commit. For a realistic idea of pricing, see our Hajj reference pricing.
Step 5: Arrange flights and travel
Many Nusuk packages are all-inclusive and come with group flights from major US gateways, so check whether your package already covers your city. If it is a land-only package, or you fly from a smaller city, book your flights separately. Then you prepare, travel, and perform Hajj.
When to do this for 2027
Registration typically opens in autumn, with package sales around January. The smart move is to create your account now so you are ready the moment packages go live. See when Hajj 2027 registration opens.
